Description
On the edge of Caldera, the capital of Santorini, Fira.

We watch the cobbled streets, the small Cycladic houses which are perched on the caldera and at a distance we can hardly see the dome of the Cathedral of Ypapanti and the Hotel Atlantis.

A lady goes up, the lens stands on her for a while and then continues with panoramic views of Fira and the cape, following the steep slope in the old port of Gialos and continues the tour of the caldera’s relief which is a result of the Minoan eruption of 1613 BC.

The wandering continues inside the city with moments from the daily life of the locals and the company of the filmmaker. We watch an old lady who leans on her cane, her company during her visit to a picturesque church, where with the help of a black-clad old lady, she collects herbs. Descending the cobblestone steps, views of the ruins that was left behind by the catastrophic earthquake of 1956.

The film continues with an old lady and a little girl who holds a puppy tenderly in her arms as an overloaded donkey accompanied by a little boy, ascends from the port to the city.

The film closes with views from the old port of Gialos recording the daily life of the people there.
