Description
Views from Panagia Katefiani, a small church hidden in the rocks of Mesa Vouno mountain on the beach of Perissa. The lens focuses on the temple of the Holy Cross and then on a shepherd who grazes the sheep on the rocks of the forgotten Ancient Thira.

The tour continues with views from the ruins of the ancient city where we can merely see the theater and the street as the excavations for the configuration of the site began in 1961.

The film closes with views of Ancient Thira with the endless blue that reaches up to Anafi, as a background.

Ancient Thera was founded by Dorian settlers in the 8th century BC. Noteworthy points of the city are the Agora, the sanctuary of Artemidorus, the residence of Arsinoe, the temple of Dionysus, temple of Apollo Karneios, the theater and the cemetery.
