The film begins with a shot of the Monument to the Fallen German Paratroopers who were killed in the Battle of Crete, also known as the "German Bird," which is now largely destroyed due to neglect.
The next shot shows a panoramic view of Glaros Beach outside Chania, followed by a visit to the house where Eleftherios Venizelos was born.
The film ends with a sunset at the Tombs of the Venizelos family on the hill outside Chania.
