Description
We are in Hallstatt, a small town in the district of Gmunden, in the Austrian state of Upper Austria and it is built on a steep bank of the homonymous lake (Hallstättersee).
The film opens with shots of the area. We see cars and buses of that era, a hotel with the American flag and the τown’s building structure. The filmmaker with a long panoramic shot shows us a restaurant and the lake. We see swans swimming as well as boats scattered around.
The shots from the lake continue with the lens focusing on a wooden canoe and two men with one paddling. The camera gives us one more panoramic shot with various boats and sailboats on the lake as well as a ship carrying people.
The film closes with a little boy playing with the water and a swan in the middle of the lake.
