Description
We are in Herakleion, the largest city of Crete.

The film opens with the Morozini Fountain that is located in Eleftherios Venizelos Square (commonly known as Lions Square) in the city center of Heraklion. It is considered one of the most attractive Venetian monuments of Chandakas (the name of Heraklion during the Byzantine period) and is preserved in very good condition. The water came from the mountain of Giouchtas in Archanes with a 15 km aqueduct that reached Herakleion. The monument is a symbol of the city.

The lens shows a souvenir shop with the traditional bag/sack and afterwards, we see a street with a lot of people coming and going. The filmmaker focuses on the Ottoman monument named Koumpes in Kornaros Square, which today functions as a traditional coffee house.

The film closes with a traditionally dressed Cretan who has stopped at a polisher and is polishing his Cretan boots known as stivania.
