Description
We are in Petrokefali, a village and seat of the Community of the same name in the Municipality of Phaistos in the Regional Unit of Heraklion, Crete.

The film opens with a street crowded with people while at the same time we hear the voice of the carnival host telling them to clear the road. The masquerades and the floats begin to parade as the announcer introduces them. We see men with the traditional Cretan uniform, musicians, a man leading two animals that has tied them to a wooden stick a cow and a donkey as well as chariots with donkeys. The parade continues with various masquerades and floats, with a group dressed as the three-then-first parties of the Greek Parliament PA.SO.K., New Democracy and KKE (Communist Party of Greece) as well as a float bearing the sign “Hellenic Parliament" standing out.

The filmmaker continues to show us the parade and stands on five floats almost identical but each with a different label and representation. In the first we can distinguish the word "Spring", in the second "General Hospital THE PERENOSPOROS 3rd CLASS", in the third "CULTURAL MOVEMENT IN TYMPAKI", the fourth from what we can understand from the representation shows us a school while the fifth the USA. Shots of motorcyclists follow as well as a van bearing the sign “Carnival’s Government" and a chariot representing peace.

The view changes with a stage and the presenter welcoming the “Carnival’s Government". The masquerades, who represent the politicians, go on stage and in turn take the microphone and start making humorous/satirical speeches.

The film closes with a group of carnival-goers who go on stage and satirize the popular at the time programme “Na i eukairia” (This is your chance), a talent show of Greek television, which was shown by the ERT channel for six years (1977–1983).
