Description
The film opens with distant shots of the coastline from Nea Makri to the Schinias Marathon National Park with the small mountain of Stavraetos visible in the background. The mountain Zarakas in Euboea is seen slightly behind the mountain Stavraetos.

We move to the Tomb of Marathon that covers the ashes of the 192 Athenians soldiers who fell heroically during the Battle of Marathon in 490 BC.

The scenery changes and now we see carefree moments on the beach of Schinias. The swimmers play several games in the sea or enjoy the beneficial rays of the sun. After swimming, time for lunch or dinner in a picturesque tavern (Delfini, Glaros or Psaropoula) in the pine forest of Schinias. We watch shots from the preparations and the tables that are under the pines. The film closes with shots of Aleppo pines.

The pine forest of Schinias has been declared a Natura area since 2000 as it is the most important coastal ecosystem of Attica.

There was a decision of demolishing the taverns in 1999, but they extended their operation until 2018 when they were demolished.
